The Dead or Alive series has something of a reputation amongst gamers. The series is well known for having a large number of female fighters, in skimpy outfits and, for want of a better term, jiggly breast physics. When Tecmo released a demo a few months back it appeared that the developers were looking to shed some of their more raunchy elements in favour of creating a more mature fighting experience.
It turns out that, try as they might, they’re unable to shed their past. Join David, Jose and Kieran as they take a closer look at the final retail version of Dead or Alive 5, focusing on the new Story Mode and the photographic Spectator Mode.
Dead or Alive 5 is available to buy right now on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 from all good retailers (and a few shonky ones too!). If you’re looking for a fighting game that is easy to pick up and play and has a lot of depth then you could do much worse than giving this a try.
