Newbreview.com is looking to make additions its copywriting team, as well as looking to bring video content producers to it’s highly dedicated team.
What Newbreview.com Offers..
Although Newbreview.com is a run by a team of volunteers, therefore we CANNOT OFFER ANY PAID WORK, our website is ideal for those that are looking to get direct experience in the games journalism and the games industry in general.
We know first hand that games journalism/media is an extremely hard industry to break into. It is a line of work that doesn’t necessarily take into account qualifications; it’s driven by experience, it’s all about who you’ve written for, what you’ve written about and who you know.
Thankfully Newbreview.com can not only provide a platform on which to exercise, show off and evolve your passion for writing and video creating, but it is also a website that also offers many oppotunities and experiences that will give you crucial headway into the industry.
Becoming part of the team at Newbreview.com means oppotunities:
. To be invited to cover press events & game expos.
. To get involved with other areas of games media e.g. Podcast, if you so wish.
. To interview and network with industry professionals.
Essentially, we will give you the opportunity to get your name out there as a writer/video content producer.
Oh and we sometimes are privvied to getting free review copies of games too.. YAY FOR FREE GAMES!

Contributors (Writers)
Writers! Newbreview.com is looking for:
. Dedication & Commitment – We have been stung by time wasters in the past, so only apply if you’ve got the time to regularly contribute articles, sometimes even on a week by week basis. We see reliability, dedication and consistency as a prerequisite of writing for Newbreview.
. Initiative – Although we are an incredibly friendly family at Newbreview.com, we don’t “hold hands” and team members are required to work off their own back.
We are looking for proactivity, want to review game? Get in touch with the team to see if the games already down for review by somebody else, and if it’s free, write a review.
We at The Newbreview don’t dictate what you write, giving you complete creative freedom, but conversely, this requires initiative.
. Great Communication – The Newbreview team is already quite large and by bringing new members to the team, it will become bigger. So good, reliable communication skills are essential.
Especially when working with us on collaborative projects; something we actively encourage.
. Availability – Ideally we are looking for London based (or surrounding areas) writers, although that’s not essential.
Not only will you have the oppotunity to do some podcasting, if you so wish, BUT there also oppotunities to go to press events, expos and press days, so flexibility and availability is vital.
Although The Newbreview demands a relatively high standard of writing, we also value the oppotunity we have to allow writers to advance their talents, so don’t worry if you are not quite the finished “article” (pardon the pun), as long as you have a solid skill base, you will be fine.

Video Content Producers
Newbreview.com is looking to branch out and strengthen it’s video based content by adding a small team of video content producers. We are looking for:
. Dedication & Commitment - Time wasters need not apply, only do so if you’ve got the time to regularly contribute videos to our site and Youtube channel. We are after reliability, dedication and consistency.
. Initiative – Although we are an incredibly friendly family at Newbreview.com, we don’t “hold hands” and team members are required to work off their own back.
We are looking for proactivity. As part of our brand new video content team, you will have complete free reign on what you create. Reviews, previews, tips, walkthroughs, cheats, even gameplay commentary.. It is entirely up to you! Which in itself means you will need to use your initiative.

Especially when working with us on collaborative projects, which we actively encourage.

The Newbreview cannot supply or pay for any equipment or software needed, so our video content producers will have to supply themselves with the necessary gear for the foreseeable future.
