PES 2012 To Get Free DLC

Konami have announced a new batch of free downloadable content for their football game PES 2012. Full details, from the official press release, can be found below:

The download will be released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on April 27th, and enhances the game’s use of the Copa Santander Libertadores licence. The DLC will introduce a dedicated ‘Copa Santander Libertadores 2012’ game mode, with all the 38 teams, rosters and the official ball for the 2012 competition brought fully up to date.

In this day and age it’s quite unusual for a company to release free downloadable content, particularly in the world of sports games where so many publishers charge you money to access different kit colours or player stats. So kudos to Konami on this move.
