PSN Returns Tomorrow? (04-05-2011)
We’ve had confirmation that PSN is due back up tomorrow (04-05-2011) “at some stage” unless any “unforeseen circumstance” arise (*sigh*).
In the meantime the debate about how many gamers will switch to XBox as a protest against Sony’s mishandling of the technical and political failure rages on, with numbers quoted anywhere from “5%” to “1 in 5″, If Sony loose anywhere near 20% of their user-base to Microsoft in the medium term this really will have been a disaster for Sony.
Personally I will have no problems going back to Sony, however (as someone that likes to think they’re fairly well educated on all things gaming) I suspect that Sony will have lost a lot of custom from the average consumer on the street. As far as the general public is aware, thanks to articles in the papers, Sony’s machine gives out your personal information to criminals. This is worse than any red ring issue, or chronic lack of games, and may take a long time to recover from.
All those who switch to xbox will be back when Motor Storm 2, Uncharted 3 arrives.

Sony has already confirmed that the only information given out has been users of SOE (Sony Online Entertainment), PSN Is different, its like Metal Gear Online… You make an account and use that. Unlike other games like CoD, BattleField, or any game that uses your PSN. Games that use SOE Are games that have a small fanbase, theres like 3 games and the total fan base is like 10,000+, thats REALLY small compared to PSN. So PSN Info is O.K, Completley SAFE!
P.S Metal Gear Online was an example, MGO Is also safe, They got SOE info, Not Konami users info.
