Event Preview: GameCity Nights #7 – The G5 Summit

This week on Friday the 27th August we return to the series of after dark gaming events in Nottingham. Previous Nights events have featured some amazing line ups including; Sean Murray with Joe Danger, Rob Burman with 3D Dot Game Heroes, Ste Curran with Chime, GLPeas with BlindGiRl, Bizarre Creations with Blur and James Moran and Charles Cecil with the Doctor Who game for the PC.

Nintendo: Leading the Way Since 1985

Other companies pussyfoot around and gently introduce concepts over years of testing the water, baby steps and half arsed innovations. Nintendo kick down your door and slap you across the face with new technology and ways to play. They make falling in line with their way a necessity, not an option, hence the current impending flood of motion control devices from Sony and Microsoft.

Review: Super Mario Galaxy 2

Mario Galaxy brought us mind bending gameplay and a universe with very few rules outside of Nintendo’s safe zone. The platforming is so tightly tuned that they can even cope with constantly shifting gravity and level designs that no other game would attempt. Mario Galaxy 2 extends the brave concept to all new heights and also addresses some of the issues that I did have with the first game.
