Retro Quick Look:- Dead or Alive 2

With the release of Dead or Alive 5 almost upon us, the newbreview.com team have decided to go back and play (arguably) the best entry in the series, Dead or Alive 2 on the Sega Dreamcast. When it was released back in the year 2000 it was a true breath of fresh air for 3D fighting games. Although it had a baffling story (about cloning series protagonist Kasumi because… err… she’s… an attractive school girl ninja?) it featured mind blowing environmental interactivity, allowing fighters to be smashed through walls, windows, and off ledges, beautiful graphics, and super fast fluid combat. It was an easy game to pick up and play, but incredibly hard to master.

Join the newbreview.com team as they take a closer look at this classic fighting game.

The latest entry in the series, Dead or Alive 5, is due to be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on 28th September in the UK. Stay tuned to newbreview.com for our full review in the coming weeks.

Be sure to tune in text week for another newbreview.com Retro Quick Look video, where we’ll be unearthing another classic videogame.
