PS One classics head to the Vita
Colour us excited, the much touted PS One back compatibility for Sony’s Playstation Vita is finally here (almost). From 29th August 2012, Firmware 1.80 will be available. With it comes cross controller mode, allowing you to use your Vita as a PS3 controller and more importantly, over 100 PS One titles.
You can find the full list below, however the ones we’re most excited about are Metal Gear Solid and the Final Fantasy games from V – IX. If you have previously downloaded these titles using your PSN account you will not have to pay again to access them on your Vita, simply redownload them using your Vita or connect your Vita to your PS3 and transfer them that way.
