Do you enjoy the writing on this site? Well here's a brief introduction to the guys behind the keyboards.
Steve "Kamiza" Garrett
Steve, the creator / owner / editor of Newb Review.com, is a thirty-something father of two who loves nothing more than grabbing a few precious minutes on his PS3. Steve has previous writing experience as a regular columnist Upperdeck Entertainment LLC. As a featured writer for UDE's official websites Metagame.com and VSSystem.com, Steve spent many years reporting on Trading Card Games - specifically Marvel TCG, DC TCG and Vs. System TCG. A co-founder of the popular fan-site VSSystem.org, Steve has now turned his atttention toward his other long running hobby - video games.

Kieran “Crofterz” Roycroft
Kieran “Crofterz” Roycroft is a twenty-something student who you will probably find abusing, harassing and generally being an annoying prick over Xbox Live. As a avid gamer since the glory days of the NES, Kieran co-founded a small, rubbish gaming podcast in 2008 which is too embarrassing to mention since some of you might look it up, however after a short run the podcast abruptly ended due to other more important work commitments. A frequent poster on a few gaming forums and a big fan of podcasting, it was an email being read out on the Gamespot UK podcast from a Mr Steve Garrett that caught his attention and the rest they say is history.

Tom “tom01255” Wallis
Tom “tom01255” Wallis is in his early twenties and has been an avid gamer since his parents invested in a Commodore 64 back in the early '90s. Classics such as Goblin 3, Soccer Kid and Lemmings created an addiction that he will never recover from. A recent graduate from University, he thought he'd try his hand at a bit of writing. Although he has dabbled with writing on various websites, it wasn't until hearing Kamiza's cry for help on the Gamespot UK Podcast that he has considered writing anything substantial.

Luke "Mightyles" Mears
Luke "Mightyles" Mears was born some point in the mid 1980s, back when Hulkamania was running free in the wild. His first encounter with video games came when his father purchased a ZX Spectrum. Luke vividly remembers playing the TRAP DOOR game, dedicating hours of his time to collecting worms and other bizarre ingredients for Him Upstairs' dinner. Luke has a degree in Film Studies and is part of BUTTER ME UP! COMEDY, who he writes and performs for when he isn't trying to increase his obscene gamerscore.

Ian "vVv Diesel" French
Ian is a 20-odd gamer who never gets enough time to sit down and enjoy the wonders of gaming as much as he wants to. Ian has been a keen gamer ever since his father got him into gaming at a very young age. Ian has spent spare time writing reviews on games and films for other websites and tends to be blunt with his reviewing. His goal is to gain an Xbox Live Gamerscore to be proud of but, due to the sheer lack of skill he has this will never happen, if you need an easy opponent to play against, look out for him on Xbox Live - the useless bastard!
- Formats owned: Sega Megadrive II, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Gameboy Advanced SP, PSP, PSOne, PS2, PS3, Xbox360, PC.

Alan "Braindead_Hero" Parrish
Alan Parrish, known as his alter ego braindead_hero. 19 year old whippersnapper who is wise beyond his age, by that of course I mean he never learnt to let go of the old systems. By his own admission the pinnacle of games was reached in the early 90s and 3D is just 1 too many Ds to deal with. Will regularly be seen in second hand shops shouting at the shop assistants 'what do you mean you don't stock NES games?!' Also writes on his shared blog with girlfriend; http://tofu-hero.com as well as hosting the tofu hero podcast. Heard a call to arms from Steve on the GameSpot UK podcast and wanted in from the ground floor.

Joe "Joefeesh" Finn
Joe "Joefeesh" Finn is hitting mid-twenties hard. Father to a 5yr old son, husband to a pregnant wife, Joe currently works as an Operations Manager in the Rail Industry, by day. He loves games and loves to write. It took him over twenty years to connect the two. So he threw some of his writing at Kamiza and it stuck. So look out for Joe's articles but be aware, he uses hyperbole and parody.
- Formats owned: XBOX 360, Wii, Nintendo DSi, Gamecube, Mega Drive, Ipod Touch.

Eddie "LavaLampBamboo" Johnston
At 18 years of age, Eddie is too young to know what's good for him, and too old to get away with not knowing it. After years of playing Super Mario Bros. on the SNES, Eddie slowly worked his way up through classic point-and-click adventures, took a slight detour during the Pokemon phase, found himself lost during the PS2 years and finally found what he was looking for when his XBox 360 arrived. Eddie currently divides his time equally between lamenting over new games he cannot afford, screaming at The Toaster for not running anything post-2000 and updating his blog at startingvillage.blogspot.com. When he heard about The Newb Review, Eddie pelted virtual rocks at Mr Garrett's window until he was invited on board..

Richard "Rax" Burley
Having been born in the same year as the progenitor of all modern computer gaming, the Atari 2600, Richard has a long, and frequently exhausting, history with the noble sport / art. Having started to list a few of the games that had a big impact on him, he very quickly ran out of space and politely requests you visit the "Gameography" page of his website if you seek further verification of his gaming enthusiasm, experience or credentials! A fan of all platforms & game types he is just as likely to be found on his "Cement Factory" Game&Watch or "Wizards of Wor" on his Atari 2600 as he is to be caught playing the latest MMO, FPS, RTS or RPG titles on his trusty old PC
- Formats owned: Atari 2600, NES, Game & Watch (Various), Mega Drive (inc Master System), Gameboy Advance SP (for any Gameboy game), Wii (inc. Gamecube), PC (Windows 7).
