A new look
Looks a bit different huh? Well don’t panic, I’m just experimenting with a new look for the site. I will be playing around with things over the weekend before making a final decision as to whether or not a new look is needed. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. We’re not putting up any logo, custom images or anything like that at the minute. If the change is locked in we will give it the Newbreview make over.
Very sleek! Mary suggests that we should decorate the site with box art of classic games – perhaps in black and White? Either way things are looking great!
I like it. I think the logos on the side are a little big – the twitter ones etc and some box art deco would be great. Also we need a little more branding at the top of the page with The Newb Review. Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with over the weekend!

I like the featured article design and I think even more older articles on the front page would make it even better if that’s possible.
I think with our own branding it could be very cool. Just testing out different layouts/designs before going to the length of fully customizing the Newb Review artwork is a sensible idea.
Looking forward to seeing what else you’ve got up your sleeve.
I’d like to get more “featured” articles on the front as well. It looks like the posting of articles requires a lot more effort with this theme. For example, the little bit of the article on the front page comes from the “Exerpt” part of the post.
I’m loving the increased filtering options down the side of the main page.
Featuring the recurring themed articles is great. We need to push our individuality/personality.
Definitely better now that the articles are back to the middle column again, although the aside message was a pretty cool feature. You could have a box to the right with messages about things that are going on
