And they can even be... fun. I know, it's crazy.Yeah the wii has really slacked off recently but there's some things Id like to play on it. I think I'd play a whole lot more if it had achievements!@Dom - I used to get that so much with tetris. I'd see blocks every time I closed my eyes!

@krobotkin – Yeah, games are just as valid as books or film as a pastime and also develop logical skills, creative thought and can even be educational. People see us gamers playing and it looks like we're in a trance and this scares the crap out of them. Then they decry it as a brain rotting past time that they would never partake in. They then sit down and spend the next 3 hours reading a book and fail to see that they too are in a trance like state as they become engrossed in the text, assuming it's a good book of course!Games are not 'addictive'. They are compelling. Just like film and literature. It's just that they are a damn sight more interactive and it is this aspect that scares people who don't play them.Having said all of that, I have to agree with Joefeesh's post above, using the excellent Tatsunoko Vs Capcom as a means to communicate each point was a sublime move. If only more Wii games were like that eh?

Very amusing. The one about games being ‘addictive’ always makes me wince.
