One of them mentions that less known but recent RPG game called Risen (PC version) would be better than DA:O. I'll check it out. Thought I'd just share this incase anyone else was disappointed with DA:O and wanted to try something else.

I’d like to add that I was googling on some more opinions on DA:O that felt like I felt about it. The great voice acting barely makes the generally bland dialogue bearable. There's couple excellent characters and while the lines are not nearly really as cringeworthy thought as Fallout 3/Oblivion/latest Star Wars movies, the effect is the same in the end. It's just hard to sit through it for hours on end.On positive note, there's a little more to the combat than the awful ME2 combat, sore point of which waas the predictable cover spots at every point. There's a lot of combat and random encounters here, and if there wasn't people would, guaranteed, fall asleep during the bland dialogue. Compare that to ME's dialogue where you don't feel uncomfortable watching the lines play in YouTube without the game! Can't say same for DA.

Dragon Age. Good example of “quantity over quality”.
